Volatile market demands, stronger regionalization of markets, ever-shortening product and innovation cycles as well an ongoing demand for individualized products increase the need adaptable production systems. More than a century after start mass production, alternative systems are required to go beyond current state art concerning adaptability, flexibility reconfigurability requirements demands. Fluid Manufacturing Systems (FLMS) describe such new system concepts. The basic idea is dynamically adapt change all logistics processes, based on comprehensive application cyber-physical (CPPS), thus enabling in setup, configuration scope. CPPS provide high degree changeability, allowing fast adaptions changing requirements. Therefore processes continuously assessed, benchmarked reconfigured match functional capabilities logistic resources actual originating from external influencing factors.
